Wakey Wakey

Postby jockstrap » Sat Aug 27, 2005 1:31 pm

Watchout this new 4 part series starts next Tuesday the 30th August 2005 on Channel 4 at 9pm.

The series is another brain child of Simon Rockell of That'll Teach 'em fame along with Lads Army and Brat Camp.

In this series a group of families go back in time to experience the 60's style Holiday Camp.

I thought it was absolutely mint! Especially seeing Rockell again (good to see he's fit and well) as a pink coat!

It's unreal to think the 14 year olds would generally sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to the whole entertainment hall before being escorted to bed.. but then again I suppose teenagers in the modern sense of the word didn't exist then.

Simon Rockell's hair style was really in period

I thought that there was an element of Teachem running thought he programme though.

Like Everyone gets a fifties hair style.

With just listening to the Major he sounded so like McTavish as well.

The grannies did really well and I hope the killjoys settle into the period by the next episode. I guess however it is so hard to adjust to character when you are not a professional actor.

What punishment is in store for the 2 lads this time I wonder :)

i was watching the programme thinking this is quite funny and also like what we went through then, i realised that the camp they were staying at was called the sunshine camp, and during our like 2nd week at the TTE3 school we found some stickers with the same name and logo lol, and i saw mr. rockell which was funny as i didn't know he worked for 20/20.

It was brilliant, and yes it is hard to get into the swing of things. In TTE1 we were all quite obedient and so the discipline and everything had a much quicker effect on us and we settled in quite fast to the way things were.

In TTE2 it was the opposite, so that's why some people said it didn't work AS well because they didn't get into the atmosphere enough.

Hi John, you'll have to inform me how TTE3 was. As far as I'm aware it was more like TTE1 (yey :D). Did people get into the swing of things soon enough? And I'm guessing there was one troublemaker put in with all of you whom the cameras followed every second of every day, no?

TTE3

Postby johnkemple » Thu Sep 01, 2005 3:42 pm

It was more like TTE1 and yeah we did realise after the first week we needed to shut up because we all got knackered from waking up at 6:45 or 6:15 for shoe shinning and morning runs, and so it worked and after that every1 calmed down.

Untill the last week and it was hell let lose because we wer so annoyed at some of the things that happened (u'll have to wait and c) and we just didn't care coz we wer going home so we started getting punished more.
Great experience though.

yey nice to know what those stickers were for, sunshine camp it did seem a bit random. and blaine you are dead on in your anology of what they'd done with the whole trouble maker thing but you'll see soon enough. yeah like john said in that first week we were really punished and we were all so tired that calmed us down. but again in the last week or so things happened which really pissed us off, and we kinda gave up all regard for disiplin but then again so had the teacher aswell, but not too much as you'll see.
It was funny in the first week though when so many people were getting these crazy punishments it was funny at first but trust me after a couple of early morning runs it stops being funny!

Postby johnkemple » Tue Sep 06, 2005 9:32 pm

I am just watching wakey wakey campers and the major has just been oggoling one of the girls tits out of his binoculars (with good reason like) and saying "that is a fine specimen and shape of a woman".
Really come on 20/20 thats weird.
